Beginning
The space is set in two parts – firstly audience enters a looked-after hallway where they are asked to leave their personal belongings. There is attendant in the space at all times. On a wall next to the entrance is a sign, explaining the rules of the space/piece:
KODISTA(Of Home, Homing)
I kindly ask you to leave your personal belongings in this mid-space – a space between the performance and the real world – , they will be looked after by our attendant – strictly no telephones in the performance space.
This is a durational performance which means you are allowed to enter and leave the space as you need to, but please do so respectfully and quietly.
You can interact with the space but please be respectful towards the performer – do not touch her.

I wonder if we all feel the same. If we all know what it means to reach for something without having anything to fall back onto, a place to go back to? To leave something behind? I have wondered
Mikä on koti*? What is home?*
Mitä koti merkitsee sinulle? What does home mean to you?
Kun ajattelet kotia, mihin kuljet mielesi maisemassa? Where do you travel in your mind when you think about home?

PERFORMER on stage. She is standing in a clear container full of water, but only so that it reaches up to her calves. The space is set with white bedsheets hanging around the edges of the space, a projector set to reflect a video of Lake Tuusula water on the bedsheets. A meditative, calming sound of water washing over rocks can be heard through a speaker. Around the water container are blank white postcards in stacks on the floor – set to frame the container – and blue-inked pens. The audience is invited to settle where they are comfortable in the space.
